Appointments

How to book, change or cancel an appointment with Example GP Plus.
Booking an appointment
Patients can currently book appointments online or over the telephone. The majority of appointments are ‘book on the day’ appointments and are available to book online or over the telephone from 8am on the day.
There are a small number of appointments available to pre-book in advance. This allows for patients who have been advised to return for a review with a certain GP or Nurse Practitioner to pre-book an appointment at the appropriate time.
When booking an appointment over the telephone, you will be asked the reason for your appointment. This allows our team to offer you an appointment with the most appropriate healthcare professional. All information is treated confidentially.
We try to make sure you see the doctor of your choice, but if they are not available you may be asked to see another doctor or healthcare professional.
We encourage all patients who can to book online wherever possible, to register for on-line booking.
Home visits
If you require a home visit, please inform the staff when you call the practice.
Changing or cancelling your appointment
If you cannot attend an appointment please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. You can cancel or change your appointment online or by calling the practice.
Primary Care Extended Access
A number of appointments are available at local GP practices as part of Extended Access.
To book an Extended Access appointment, book online or telephone the practice as usual.
