Test Results

Please telephone between [hours] for all test results and x-rays. This is the time our reception staff are less busy and best able to help.

You can also access your test results online [insert link].

Please remember receptionist staff are not qualified to interpret results. If you need to discuss a result, please make an appointment with a doctor.

Staff act within our doctor’s instructions so may not be able to give you a result. This does not necessarily mean there is a problem, but simply that the doctor needs to see you or talk to you to explain the results.

Results can be given to someone other than the patient if previously arranged with the doctor. Results for patients over 16 years can only be given to the patient.

Tests carried out during hospital visits are not normally sent to the surgery.
